PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES
Special Interest
Camp Mah-Kee-Nac offers any number of ways for campers to explore their individual creative talents in a wide variety of activities. The choices include arts and crafts, photography, wood working, radio production, rocketry, and our own camper newspaper.
FINE ARTS & CRAFTS (Art Studio • Woodshop • Rocketry)
The art studio encompasses many different activities for the boys to try, including pottery, painting, drawing, cartooning, lanyard and more. We offer a fully operational woodshop where boys can learn how to make a variety of projects that they can bring home. Our Rocketry program allows boys to design, build and launch rockets.
MEDIA CENTER (Radio Station • Campus Newspaper • Photography)
Our media center offers a wide range of activities for campers to try. They can be a Sports Radio host on our own radio station, or a reporter, photographer and editor for our weekly camp newspaper and yearbook. Also available is our photography program, with both digital and black & white processing. We post 150-200 pictures daily on our website for parents to see.
