 Camp MKN Travel Information Team MKN is thrilled that you will be joining us this summer! In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, and be "greener" global citizens, we have streamlined our travel pick up procedure this year. We suggest that you make your travel plans as soon as you can to make the most out of your travel dollars. Below you'll find all the information you need in order to book your to/from travel. If at any time you have a question, please Email Kevin, or call 800-753-9118 (US & Canada), +1 413 6370781 (International) Once you've read this, please make your travel plans and then fill out our online travel form (see below). US/CANADA Staff By Air If you are flying within North America, you should plan to arrive at Albany, NY (ALB) or Hartford/Bradley, CT (BDL) airports. Both airports are within 1 hour of camp. We will pick up at these airports at Noon and 4pm June 19th, and Noon and 4pm June 20th. (Please note it may be necessary for you to wait at the airport for the next pick up time) By Train If you are planning on taking the train (Amtrak), you should plan to arrive in Albany, NY or Pittsfield, MA. If arriving at Albany, pick ups will be made in conjunction with the above noted Albany airport times. If Pittsfield, we will pick up upon arrival. By Bus If you are planning on arriving by bus, you should plan to arrive in Lenox, MA or Pittsfield, MA. We will pick up upon arrival. *** Canadian Staff*** Please note that the United States requires anyone arriving into the US by air to produce a passport for entry. While it may be acceptable to provide Birth Certificates and Drivers Licenses at Land Crossings, it is HIGHLY recommended that you travel with a passport. For more information, please visit http://www.dhs.gov/xtrvlsec/crossingborders/ INTERNATIONAL Staff (incl. CCUSA, ICCP, Camp Leaders, AICE, others) New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR) Arrivals Camp will provide a bus from New York City on June 20th at 2:30pm ONLY. The pick up location is at Hostels International NY, 891 Amsterdan Avenue, NY 10025. OR Make your way to Grand Central Terminal and take the 6:52pm train from GCT to Wassaic, NY. This is the only train that we will provide a pick up for at Wassaic Station. OR Make your way to the Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street and 8th Avenue). At the PA, purchase ticket on Peter Pan Bus Lines to Lenox, MA. Before boarding your bus, please call 1-800-753-9118 (toll free) to advise of estimated arrival time in Lenox. MKN will pick you up upon arrival. BOSTON (BOS) Take Peter Pan Bus Lines transportation from Logan Airport to Lenox, MA. Call us at 1-800-753-9118 to give us estimated arrival time and MKN will pick you up. INTERNATIONAL Staff (CAMP AMERICA) Upon arrival in the US, Camp America will have provided you with travel instructions based on your arrival date. Driving to Camp? You are welcome to bring your own cars to camp. Please arrange to arrive before 5pm as the roads are difficult to navigate at night if you are unfamiliar with them.
