Please browse through our Virtual Tour, and when you find yourself saying “This place looks awesome and I could definitely see my son here”, pick up the phone and call us right away. We’d love to tell you more about Mah-Kee-Nac.

Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is nestled on 80 acres of land in Lenox, Massachusetts in the pristine Berkshire Mountains. The heart of Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is the Stockbridge Bowl also known as Lake Mah-Kee-Nac. The bowl is 1¾ miles long, about ¾ miles wide, and it boasts approximately six miles of shoreline. The Stockbridge bowl is the centerpiece of our camp and allows programs like waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing among many other watersports to be an integral part of what our campers get to do.

Mah-Kee-Nac is located right next to Bullard Woods which is fresh with hiking and biking trails, as well as a beautiful freshwater stream and lots of lake access points. Mah-Kee-Nac utilizes Bullard Woods for much of our adventure and outdoors program, in addition to our two ariel ropes courses, multiple campout sites, 250 ft zip line, and our 40 ft high adventure rockwall.

Our athletics program is supported by the various state-of-the-art courts, fields, and facilities at MKN such as the following 10 har-tru clay tennis courts, 2 hardcourt tennis courts, 4 outdoor basketball courts, 1 indoor fieldhouse and weight room, 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, 1 football/lacrosse field, our driving range and chip n’ putt course, 1 outdoor hockey rink, and complete with our Olympic sized heated swimming pool.

Living accommodations at MKN are modern and comfortable without being too “fancy”, our campers get the traditional summer camp experience they are looking for. Each bunk fits 8-12 campers and three staff members comfortably with electricity and running water in every cabin. Each cabin contains two sinks and two toilets in the backroom area and each cabin is within a one-minute walk of our modern, private, locker-room style shower cabins and just steps from our dining hall.

Camp though, is not just buildings and amenities, it’s about the people and the community. MKN prides itself on being a summer home to over 300 boys each summer from all over. Our boys return summer after summer to MKN where they can laugh loudly, act kindly, try confidently, be supported and encouraged professionally and lovingly, and most of all spend two months being active and doing the things they love to do surrounded by their summer family.
